OOC: This is another continuation of my Centauri Mythology. This particular myth was requested because of a statue that was given to Adira by Gunrunner/Silvas while she was on the Mars colony that I had described in an earlier post. The statue showed Morgoth in the form of a great winged lion-like creature, his front paws on her chest as he bit into the area above her hearts. Li in the statue was placing a kiss upon Morgoth's forehead. As [livejournal.com profile] bloodraven77 pointed out the statue "spoke of a love affair of mythical proportions". So I have started the mythology surrounding this statue.

It was on many occasions that Morgoth, the trickster attempted to undermine the perfection of Li. Many times he had surely destroyed her, only to be denied victory as her fire always burned brighter after her trials in his hands. She had overcome all odds, all obstacles, what was there left to do? What was there left for Morgoth to do in his need to destroy her unfaltering hearts? His jealousy raged knowing that he alone among the gods bore no hearts, no fire and she was the cause, she had to be the cause.

For many mortal lifetimes he sought the answer to his question but there was no solution at hand. In his frustration he vowed. “If I can not destroy her hearts then I will take them from her.” With his vow still fresh in his mind he went to find the passion and fire of the universe. She laid reclined in the gardens the sun glistening on her flawless skin. “She was perfect” the words entered his mind of their own accord and he fought to subdue the thoughts.

Her eyes slowly turned to him, her playful smile as pure as the day she came forth from the abyss reminded him once more of the void that filled his soul. The hearts and fire that he was denied since the very beginning of creation.

An angry snarl escaped Morgoth’s lips as he gazed upon “untamed passion”. Slowly he padded toward her, his posture submissive though it was only a ploy to lure her from her lounge. She took the bait and gracefully rose from her reclined position. She moved like a dancer, gliding across the courtyard, every motion fluid and filled with an unnamed desire. She paused to admire the garden’s flowers and Morgoth crept closer, his body held low to the ground.

Li turned with a smile as she watched Morgoth approach. Like her, he possessed an undeniable grace and beauty which was as captivating as it was terrifying. Li alone, the seeker of beauty saw his true nature and among the gods she was the only one who bore kindness in her hearts toward this great monster. None among the gods knew of her ability to see him as he was, the gods assumed like them she only saw the great devouring maw.

Her eyes fluttered closed as the soft breeze brought the fragrance of the gardens many blooms to her senses. Morgoth saw his chance. He broke into a run, his powerful hind legs hurling his massive body at the slender goddess. Li turned to him in surprise as his paws impacted against her chest. His teeth buried into her chest and he felt them plunge clear to the center of her hearts. Her blood was sweet as brivari and twice as pungent. He eagerly ripped at her chest with his razor like teeth, long as kutaris and twice as sharp they encouraged the sweet liquid to flow into his mouth.

Li looked upon him, her eyes full of sympathy because she knew the fire that fueled all desires even those bore by the heartless. Li then did something Morgoth had not anticipated. She bent forward and placed a single gentle kiss on the forehead of the beast that threatened to tear her hearts from her chest.

Morgoth’s eyes snapped to the unspoiled beauty as his teeth buried still deeper into her flesh. The kiss burned like a brand and he felt her pulling, tugging at the void in his soul. The feelings that began to blossom in the depths of the emptiness were like none he had ever felt before and they terrified him. Instantly, Morgoth tore his fangs from the goddess’s chest tearing away a small sliver of the flawless left heart.

Li fell to the ground as Morgoth fled taking with him the tiny sliver of her hearts. Her hearts lay exposed to all and her left heart, the resting place of the soul, now lay incomplete.

Morgoth did not stop his fearful flight until he was well within the darkness of the underworld. Hiding in the murkiest corner of his realm he felt the small sliver of Li that lay in his stomach. The tiny sliver of the goddess burned like white hot fire that slowly spread through his body.

“What is this evil?” he wondered as he felt the heat spreading. He lay there in the darkness for days, longing for some unnamed thing beyond his reach that he just could not find or grasp. It was a feeling Morgoth had never felt, the need for another, for the company of something more then the darkness.

Li woke in the gardens, her wounds had healed or so it appeared from the outside. Her hand moved to her chest and she felt the incompleteness deep within. Some part of her was gone and she wept for the small lost piece of her perfection.

Li pulled herself weakly to her feet. Now incomplete her beauty and grace waned. She yearned for the lost piece that she could feel far in the distance. She shuffled toward its call. Darkness began to surround her but sight was not needed. Her hearts knew where the piece that would complete them lay. For like her whole being her hearts also yearned for the lost completeness.

Li fumbled in the darkness until her hands felt softness and her hearts began to sing feeling once more the lost completeness.

Eyes in the darkness turned to her. The reddish orbs mirroring her own need to find once more the peace and serenity of wholeness.

She lay against the soft fur. Her exhausted form grateful and in need of sleep. Morgoth felt joy for the first time in his existence as the painful yearning subsided under the soft hands that intertwined themselves in his long fur. His eyes strained to reveal the identity of the figure but it was somehow hidden from him. He sought the form and laid his great head upon it once more at rest from the burning fire she had ignited in his heartless form.

For someone to rely on and a shoulder to cry on
You can depend on me
If you're in need of some kindness
And you can't seem to find it
You can depend on me
Well there ain't no need to worry you know we'll get along
Those dark clouds may surround you
But together we'll be strong

-"Depend on Me" - Bryan Adams

As most anyone will tell you, I am not easily angered relying instead on conviction and faith to carry me through. In truth all of the words I might wish to take back have been said from emotional pain and not anger.

There is perhaps one phrase I have said in, anger perhaps, and certainly in pain and turmoil. It took place not long after Londo’s visit to our estate for the Davo festival. I had thought seeing him would ease my mind from the emptiness I had felt since leaving Babylon 5. It had in the end done everything but what I had wished it to. His visit left me feeling even emptier and plagued by rumors. Giving me a new title “the court's whore”.

My ever loving mother came to comfort me one evening as I cried on the balcony. She reminded me that the Ambassador was willing to risk his status for my happiness and surely in the end a way would be found for us to be together.

Looking back I find her words that evening to be a comfort and a blessing but at that moment they were the last thing I wanted to hear. I lost my temper from the pain and said things that should never have been spoken. I was vicious toward her and spoke the words I knew would hurt her as much as I hurt.

“I don’t want to be a rich man's whore like you were, I want to be his wife. I can’t now because you were too weak to stand up for your hearts and instead betrayed my father’s love for you.”

I stormed from the balcony leaving her crying in my wake.

Since that day I have been looking for the right moment to apologize for my pain and the words I had spoken to her. I have to believe perhaps this topic has called me to face what I have been putting off.

Rising from her chair Adira walks to the study where her mother was completing some research. “It is time to make amends.” Adira mused as she timidly opened the door to the study. Lady Deljah scowled and Adira’s hearts sank.

“Mother can I speak with you?” Adira’s voice was soft and lonely. She missed her mother’s company over the past two months since the events she had just written about.

Deljah closed her book and stared intently at her daughter. “What have you returned to insult me again?” Her voice was full of pain and Adira began to feel her courage wavering under crushing guilt.

Adira shook her head and sat heavily next to her mother. She didn’t know how to say what she needed to and struggled to find the right words. The “right words” wouldn’t come to her so she settled for what would come to her from her hearts. Her eyes filled with tears as she spoke.

“Mother…I’m sorry...I...I...I just can’t bear to be without him and I can’t be with him. Some days it hurts so much I wish to die.”

Deljah gazed into her daughter’s eyes. She remembered what it was to bear a forbidden love. Tears welled up in Lady Deljah’s eyes as she remembered her own anger when she was prohibited from standing beside the man she loved. Deljah brushed her daughter’s tear stained cheek softly with her hand.

“I know the pain you feel, My Little Flower. Do not lose hope. Li never abandons hearts that bear her truest love. She will find a way for you to be reunited.” She smiled at Adira to encourage her despite the burning pain in her hearts.

“Why did she abandon you then?” Adira’s voice was filled with concern and uncertainty.

Deljah paused before speaking. “She never abandoned me, for I still see his fire in a young woman who shares his eyes and hearts. I see him everyday I see you are still in love despite what others pressure you to do. I see him in your strength.” She wrapped her arms tightly around her daughter to comfort her as she had done all the years ago when her father passed on to Morgoth to wait for her to join him.

I've been alone with you inside my mind
And in my dreams I've kissed your lips a thousand times
I sometimes see you pass outside my door
Hello, is it me you're looking for?

I can see it in your eyes
I can see it in your smile
You're all I've ever wanted, (and) my arms are open wide
'Cause you know just what to say
And you know just what to do
And I want to tell you so much, I love you ..."

"Hello"- Lionel Ritchie

It had been three days and five performances since she saw him near death. The images were still so clear in her mind but none stood out so clearly as the look on his face when she walked from the station. His uncertainty and loneliness broke her hearts but she had to do it. She walked away for him, to be here preforming to become a reknowned singer.

She sat before the computer in the shuttles small cabin. The portrait still sat in its place and just seeing his face even in a painting pulled at her hearts. She took a deep breathe and put in the call. Waiting nervously she toyed with her dress until she heard the link open. He was there on the screen alive... something she remembered she nearly lost and the tears welled up despite her attempts to hide them and a single whisper sliped from her lips as she moved to wipe the tears away.

Oh, Londo I thought I'd lost you.

Her voice was a shakey whisper but her hearts sang like her voice as she saw that he still breathed and she yet had a chance to be at his side.

Managing to play every heart-string, this beloved story, set in the fictional country of Elbonia, tells the story of associates, [livejournal.com profile] londo_mollari (Jeff Goldblum) and [livejournal.com profile] adira_tyree (Cameron Diaz), who find themselves reliving the murky past when the biggest shake-up of them all is triggered by [livejournal.com profile] adira_tyree's mean sister, [livejournal.com profile] _mariel (Kate Beckinsale). Cameron Diaz was paid twenty-five million dollars for her performance, reportedly due to all of the 'yukky kissing' involved.

OOC: This was originally written for Adira's normal journal to describe her performance on Centauri Prime after the happenings of the "Soul Mates" ep. Mun has no idea what sort of drugs she was slipped to write this entry? I must have spent too much time with Cartagia or something because this post is completely insane. Though it is much too funny not to share. Hope you enjoy..I am not sure it fits in any timeline but Grat Maker it is hillarious.

Added note... due to the mention that Londo actually had pink hair at a party.. I couldn't resist posting this in Adira's journal.. though it originally appeared in the [livejournal.com profile] mu_muse I have brought it here for the rest of you to enjoy. This is not cannon by any means..at least not at the moment...And what the hell is the minister's name who becomes Regent after Cartagia's death.. it is like some secret and seems impossible to find!!!.
